Future Group Brings Trustee Services In-House Under New Deal With Towers Watson

May 14, 2026

In February, Future Group took another significant step in its growth strategy, acquiring the superannuation trustee business of global financial services firm Willis Towers Watson. The transaction brings trustee capabilities in-house for the first time and includes the transfer of Towers Watson Superannuation’s APRA licence, subject to regulatory approvals.

The move further strengthens Future Group’s position in the Australian superannuation market and follows the successful integration of Zurich’s superannuation business and a retail insurance business from Acenda during the first half of FY26.

The acquisition is another important milestone in Future Group’s strategy to build scale and broaden its capabilities, with the group also understood to have secured a new debt facility to support future acquisition opportunities.
